Job Description: Project / Installation Engineer

As we continue to grow and expand, The CMM Group has an exciting opening for a Project / Installation Engineer.  This position is responsible for successful execution of internal and external field projects and involves directing the activities of the design team in close cooperation with the company’s entire supporting cast (processing, purchasing, fabrication, shipping, installation, and service).    This role will assist in the coordination, subcontracting, and supervision and installation of our air pollution control equipment including oxidizers, concentrators, heat recovery systems, process equipment including dryers and ovens, wastewater treatment, and other industrial equipment and supporting field rebuilds.

Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Compliance to OHSA / company PPE and Safety regulations during all tasks
  • Ability to initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, install and close capital equipment projects in varying scope and complexity
  • Develop project timeline and identify milestones
  • Understanding of field assembly of industrial equipment desired
  • Identify local electrical and mechanical contractors in bidding process for quotations of installation scope
  • Work closely with project team prior to installation to ensure all necessary components, supplies, and labor are onsite for execution
  • Ability to problem solve and improvise as necessary to meet plan specifications, company quality standards, and deadlines
  • Willing to operate equipment such as a boom lift, manlift, forklift, etc.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools as needed
  • Understanding of industrial ductwork design and assembly
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify AutoCAD drawings.  (site layout / duct layout)
  • Work closely with and take direction from supervisor / management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Position is full time, 40+ hours per week
  • Candidate must be able to work flexible hours and overtime
  • Must have the ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, and work independently with minimal supervision as well as be a team player
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Associates Degree or higher in technology, engineering, project management, construction trades, or equivalent work experience and training in rigging / equipment installation including a strong mechanical aptitude

Job Description: Controls Engineer

The CMM Group, a respected supplier of air pollution control systems, process equipment such as dryers and ovens and other industrial equipment and services to its customers in a variety of industrial markets, is seeking a Controls Engineer to support and expand the Engineering team.

Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Design, develop, and supervise all aspects of electrical control systems for industrial equipment
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment such as oxidizers, concentrators, industrial dryers and ovens, burners, fans, industrial controls
  • Ability to write software for PLC’s and microprocessor-based control systems for equipment such as oxidizers and ovens
  • Electrical Engineering Degree is preferred
  • Prefer 3+ years of technical experience working with fans, boilers, dryers/ovens, oxidizers, or other capital equipment
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCad
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Together with Sales and Engineering, review and evaluate new project opportunities
  • Analyze engineering drawings, RFQs, process requirements and incorporate electrical instrumentation and software into the overall equipment design
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve customer specific issues remotely or onsite
  • Prepare cost estimates and technical information
  • Prepare plan for scope of work for electrical functions associated with the project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Position is full time, 40+ hours per week
  • Occasional travel for customer meetings/site visits

Job Description: Field Service Representative

As we continue to grow and expand, The CMM Group has an exciting opening for a Field Service Representative responsible for installing, commissioning and servicing our air pollution control equipment including oxidizers, concentrators, heat recovery systems, process equipment including dryers and ovens, and other industrial equipment.

Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of burners, fans and thermal systems such as boilers/ovens/air pollution control systems, PLC controls and HMIs, instrumentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment, investigate and resolve issues of customer concern
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to give post-commissioning training to the customer on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Position is full time, 40+ hours per week and overtime eligible
  • Candidate must be able to work flexible hours and overtime and manage on-call status
  • Must have the ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Associate Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience and training in electrical and electro/mechanical fields, with a strong mechanical aptitude
