Job Description: Business Development Engineer
The CMM Group, a respected supplier of air pollution control and industrial wastewater treatment systems and process equipment such as ovens and energy recovery systems and aftermarket services is seeking a Business Development Engineer to grow our business in process industries including chemical, pharmaceutical and other industrial verticals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategy Development
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities for growth within target industries.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to develop strategic marketing plans.
Product Promotion and Brand Management
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote our air pollution control and water treatment solutions.
- Manage the company’s brand image and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
Lead Generation and Sales Support
- Generate leads through targeted outreach, networking, and participation in industry events.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales collateral, presentations, and proposals to support the sales process.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions.
New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base and revenue streams.
- Develop and nurture strategic partnerships to drive mutual growth and success.
- Track key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and business development efforts.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Trade Shows and Advertising
- Develop integrated sales and marketing plans and budgets for The CMM Group products and services.
- Manage creation and/or updating of display/print ads, brochures, sales literature, email campaigns, etc.
Digital Marketing
- Supervise the design, development and maintenance of company websites.
- Develop a social media and SEO strategy and maintain social media presence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the chemical, pharmaceutical and/or process industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities.

Job Description: Install / Field Service Technician
As we continue to grow and expand, The CMM Group has an exciting opening for an Install / Field Service Technician responsible for assisting in the coordination, subcontracting, and installing our air pollution control equipment including oxidizers, concentrators, heat recovery systems, process equipment including dryers and ovens, and other industrial equipment.
Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Understanding of field assembly of industrial equipment desired.
- Identify local electrical and mechanical contractors in bidding process for quotations of installation scope.
- Work closely with project management prior to installation to ensure all necessary components, supplies, and labor are onsite for execution.
- Ability to problem solve and improvise as necessary to meet plan specifications, company quality standards, and deadlines.
- Ability to operate equipment such as a boom lift, manlift, forklift, etc.
- Ability to use hand and power tools as needed.
- Understanding of industrial ductwork design and assembly.
- Ability to read, interpret, and modify AutoCAD drawings. (site layout / duct layout)
- Knowledge of burners, fans and thermal systems such as boilers/ovens/air pollution control systems, PLC controls and HMIs, instrumentation
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment, investigate and resolve issues of customer concern.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Position is full time, 40+ hours per week and overtime eligible
- Candidate must be able to work flexible hours and overtime
- Must have the ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, and work independently with minimal supervision as well as be a team player.
- Candidate must be able to work flexible hours and overtime and manage on-call status.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
- Associate Degree or higher in project management, construction trades, or equivalent work experience and training in rigging / equipment installation including a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must have the ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Associate Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience and training in electrical and electro/mechanical fields, with a strong mechanical aptitude

- Ability to troubleshoot equipment, investigate and resolve issues of customer concern

- Ability to give post-commissioning training to the customer on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects

- Must have the ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, and work independently with minimal supervision
