When a leading producer of insulated electrical sleeving decided to relocate its entire continuous solvent-based coating operation to an area that will be used as a permanent total enclosure to capture the coating line emissions, they turned to The CMM Group for the turnkey installation of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer.

The 10,000 scfm CMM RTO is designed to destroy 97% of the 11.5 pounds per hour of xylene or aromatic 100 solvent VOCs generated from seven vertical tower ovens during the company’s 24 hours per day, 6 days per week production schedule.

When a Midwestern company that specializes in developing and applying custom engineered coatings primarily for the automotive industry surpassed the allowable VOC emissions limit and had to install an air pollution control system, they selected a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer from The CMM Group.

Installed on an outdoor concrete pad, the 15,000 scfm RTO from CMM was designed to destroy 98% of the acetone, xylene and other solvent blend emissions generated from multiple ovens and a coating application booth used in the production process. Operating with a 1,500° F combustion chamber set point, the unit’s ceramic monolith media heat exchanger provides a 95% thermal efficiency.
